I’ll toy with that thought !
I write some of my best stuff while I’m lying in bed, just before dawn. Others are spontaneous ideas. Some, I work through for much longer. Crazy, when it’s just 3 lines and 17 syllables. People probably think it’s a cinch. No siree!
Sometimes it’s so difficult to balance two syllables, sheer frustration, other times they just happen. I enjoy metre, 5 7 5 can be as demanding as iambic pentameter !
