The regular 5-7-5 does appeal, but then I enjoy the structure of metre and the passion of free form. It’s a bit Occam’s razor with a one word poem being the ideal.
My favorite is the structure and metre of free form. And I like that 5-7-5 makes me choose just the right words and not run on. Metre does that as well.

To me it has the balance of a Haiku only simpler. I like your 4-5-4. Think I’ll try one sometime.
