I had the same feeling yesterday evening, as I sat in my office working. I looked out of the window and for an instant was bewildered to find that that it was only 5 PM and the daylight had almost faded. Then I realised, we were already in the grip of winter. 😊

I recall the same surprise every year and, of course, the pleasure of Spring’s return.
