Brought low by another virus, seems to be unending since last October’s covid. This is the first haiku for too long and it was a relief when the jackdaws arrived.

My neighbour was repairing the rear wall of her cottage, including re-surfacing and painting the stonework and found a hole with a now empty sparrows nest. Rather than fill the hole she has fitted a backless nesting box over it.
