I hope they are ok. Bats in my area got something called white nose disease and it caused them not to hibernate so they starved over the winter. We lost the bat population for several years. It has come back. I missed them. Possibly this lone bat was just out for a brisk adventure!
They’re under such a huge amount of pressure. I’m thinking positively that this one is in a roost in a huge cattle barn not far away, it’s warm in there and quite an atypical climate.

Bats usually hibernate I think but with less insects i the summer they could be still feeding ready
I hope it got back to roost before the frosts hit.
